I joined Level One Network about a month ago after leaving another blogging platform with a similar, 100% commission structure. I left the other platform because the training was more about sales and marketing than how to blog effectively, which is what I was looking for.
About Level One Network
The first thing that appealed to me about Level One Network was the clean blogging platform, making it suitable to blog about a variety of topics. Some may choose to blog about another business they are involved in while others simply like to share hobbies, recipes, products reviews and more. I find that most blog about a combination of things, including the Level One Network business model.

Level One Network vs Self Hosted Wordpress Blogs
For example, with niche blogs many may choose to go with self hosted wordpress blogs. Expenses involved include a monthly hosting fee which will run you about $10 or more per month. That in itself isn't so bad but there is also the added expense of a domain name for each niche you plan to blog about (around $10 per year each for a .com). If you are serious about affiliate marketing and planned to do several niches per month then you will need to register several domain names each month as well.

What I don't like about using self hosted Wordpress blogs (besides the expense) is the work involved with each one to get it set up and optimized correctly. There is also a huge learning curve to Wordpress; from getting it installed correctly to understanding the inner workings of Wordpress, many bloggers who are just starting out can find it very intimidating.
Level One Network vs Blogging on Free Sites
Some choose to use free sites such as Blogger or Squidoo. The benefit to these (besides being free) is that they are pretty user friendly. However, many learn the hard way that free sites aren't practical because they don't belong to you, therefore, you have no control if they decide to delete your work. This actually happens quite often as they become more strict over the type of content they allow.

There are those who have no choice and will start with free sites then work their way up to paid sites. However, if it is in your budget it really is best to go with a paid blogging platform so that you have control over your content.
I have used free sites (mostly Squidoo) and I have done several niche blogs on Wordpress but in my opinion there is an even better choice - your own self hosted blog on a paid blogging platform like Level One Network.
What Does Level One Network Have to Offer
Level One Network offers a variety of unique products that other blogging platforms don't. When you join Level One Network you get the blogging platform, a video network, a step by step blogging course, weekly training webinars, and on top of all this, a generous compensation plan. This all comes with the basic package of $29 per month plus admin fee.
I will discuss each of the Level One Network products seperately.

Level One Network Blogging Platform
Level One Network offers a blogging platform with a clean look, making it suitable to blog about anything. The blogging platform was built from the ground up by programmer and SEO specialist Dan Miller, who spent over a year creating an SEO friendly blogging platform that is easy to use for beginners yet offers plenty for more advanced bloggers.
Level One Network blogs are easy to monetize with Adsense and/or other affiliate products such as Amazon products. You can also easly add pictures and links to your blog posts. Dan has also created the SEO Scope which will help you write your posts in such a way to help them rank well in search engines - even in competitive niches.
Bloggers on Level One Network blog are very eclectic. Some use the blogging platform for affiliate marketing while others use it as a way to promote other businesses they are involved with. Then there are those who simply choose to blog about a variety of topics - including the Level One Network business opportunity.
I personally do all of all of these things. And with each blog post I write I include a small "call to action" at the bottom to attract potential bloggers. When someone joins through my link I earn both up front and recurring commissions.

I think one of the best features about Level One Network is the fact that all blog posts not only go on our own Level One Network blogs, but on the home page of the main site. I actually had a few people join my team this way. They simply read one of my posts, clicked on the link to the company video and signed up.
Level One Network blogs are also starting to rank really well with Google, and arre gaining more authority every day as more and more bloggers join and publish hight quality content using Dan's teachings.
Level One Network Blogging Course
One feature that Level One Network offers that other blogging platforms don't is the complete, step by step blogging course, which covers the most basic steps (setting up your blog profile, widgets, etc) to more advanced topics like SEO and blog monetization.
The tutorials move in a way that beginner bloggers will have no problem following the progression of the lessons while advanced bloggers are sure to pick up plenty of new skills as well. Dan teaches the course himself and is able to explain things in a way that is easy to understand.
Each step includes a different video that is easy to follow along with. Most of these videos are just a few minutes long so it's easy to just go at your own pace by watching a few videos at a time or watching them all at once.
Level One Video Network
Level One Video Network is the most recent product added and comes with the basic package. Dan created it as a way for members to upload their Youtube videos which will not only help their videos gain exposure but their blog posts as well. Members simply upload their videos and cross link them to relavent posts to help build their rankings and bring in more targeted traffic.
I have not personally used the video network yet but plan to add my own You Tube videos as well. And for those who don't know how to create videos Dan will be including tutorials for that as well. Using the video network is optional but a great tool to help build your presense on Level One Network.
Level One Network Premier Products
There are additonal products available that are a one time purchase. These additional products are not necessary to succeed but many choose to purchase one or all of them down the road. These products include the SEO Pro Connect, the PDF Pro Express and the Masters Training series.
I purchased all three during a prelaunch special. And while I have not had a chance to dig into the SEO Pro Connect or the PDF Pro Express I have been going through the Masters Training. The Masters Training is a 20 week course teaching more advanced methods of SEO, blog monetization, setting up campaigns for affiliate marketing and more. These weekly webinars are held live every Thursday and are also recorded for those unable to make them.
If the premier products are not in your budget you will still receive plenty of training in the back office. Dan also does weekly trainings for basic members as well, teaching much of the same as in the Masters course. However the Masters course is more in depth.
Level One Network Compensation Plan
The Level One Network compensation plan uses a 100% commission payout plan that is similar to Empower Network. When bloggers on Level One Network refer others they earn 100% commissions on $29 sales (recurring) as well larger commissions on one time premium product sales ranging from $99 to $599 on any product that you own yourself.
Level One Network is able to pay such high commissions due to their "pass ups", meaning some of the commissions you make will get passed up to your upline. At first this may sound counter productive. However, as you start building a team and receiving pass ups you soon discover how quickly those pass ups start adding up.
